How did I forget to put these up??

I rewore my 1840s gown to portray Queen Victoria for my friend's MUN conference about... two months ago? And I just remembered to put up pictures! I bought the PERFECT tiara at Walmart of all places, which I'm going to wear at the Athenaeum. :]

I think I look quite a bit like Emily Blunt, if I may say so myself!

Reading the oath to my privy council...

An Irishman has just insulted me! Which is why I look so indignant.

Yes, it was an amalgam of eras! Technically, I'm the anachronism. We were doing Boer War, but I didn't have an all-black dress to do Victoria in mourning, so I went with young Victoria lol. Not like anyone there new... And yes, that would be my 1890s outfit Kelsey is wearing. :]

Skirt sewn an attached.

As modeled by my TV room floor and recliner. :]

The fabric looks much less synthetic in real life. It's actually very sumptuous!

The dress in general looks better in real life. And on a person.

It's done as far as I'm concerned, even though it still needs to be hemmed hehe! I can do that the week before... Time to move onto the Halloween dress, which needs a lot of work!!

WARNING: CRAPPY PHOTO AHEAD!!!

Seriously... I think its the nighttime thing combined with the old camera and the dark fabric. It looks much better in real life! The fabric is a luscious aubergine satin taffeta. It wouldn't let me take a nice pic of the color... dumb camera!

Anyway, here's the bodice. I was considering a bertha, but I like the simplicity of it. And I swear... it looks 100x better in real life!
