It's not that I can't make the English gown in a week, it's that I have such severe CADD that I suddenly lost the interest I had in it. It could just be that I'm angry at myself for forgetting to add an inch to the pattern before I cut out the fabric... :-P But I also have a Civil War reenactment in two weeks, and I'd love to have my wool dress finished for it. I can't believe it: I'm wearing wool one day, and my sheer the next! That's terribly contradictory...

Anyway... Maybe I'll play around with the English gown a bit today, tighten up my corset as much as is bearable, and see how I feel about it all. Oh yes.. Did I mention I'm squeezing this dress out of less than 4 yards of fabric???? Granted, it's just the bodice and overskirt which is split, but still!
