You got me started thinking about my paletot for CWW! I just found the fabric too. And I already have a pattern that I drafted. Boo... CADD again.... *sigh*

In other news, I retrimmed by bonnet with the plaid silk, and used the red silk ties to put ruffles on the shoulders of the dress. It looks oh-so-much-more extravagant now! I CAN NOT wait for next weekend!!! :D

Following ismiseniamh 's lead, I'm making a list of all the wonderful things I got for Christmas! I feel so blessed; my parents are so giving to me and my sister! I made both my sister and the manfriend blankets for Christmas. It was very fun!!

*COSTUME IN DETAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was dancing for joy at this one. The book is INCREDIBLE!
*The Complete Costume History. Just about THE biggest, heaviest book on costume EVER!!! I've wanted it for a few years now. My mother is so keen :]
*various gift cards to all my favourite places (including Jenny's!)
*Wall-E on DVD :] (the manfriend's blanket is Wall-E too!)

Finished this in a frenzy! I was sick last night, and my hands were shaking as I cut the velvet, but I really had to get it done! It's basically perfect except for my inability to attach hooks and eyes correctly, so the hooks were totally showing; I got so fed up with it that half-way through the evening I changed into my teen dress (which I SEWED myself into because the hooks and eyes on that are messed up as well). But the dress really is lovely. There's nothing like real silk! I felt so elegant...
