England on the brain...

Hogarth's Harlot
I'm much too excited for my trip to London in April. For one, I'll be turning 18 when I'm there. And secondly, we'll be doing an acting workshop with the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Globe. It's bound to be nothing short of amazing. :]

So I already have the most splendid purple wool coat and black wool cloche to wear. And I also got a pair of black boots. I still need some flats that will withstand walking and look cute at the same time. I'm also deviously planning to make a couple outfits! All 1950s-60s. That way, I can constantly be in semi-costume all 10 days! My mom is rather against me bringing any of my dresses with me, and on a school tour, it'd be a little difficult... I'll save that for when I go to the UK with Niamh! :-D

I've been scouring the big 3 and Vogue and Burda for retro patterns. I just realized I should actually look for vintage patterns too! Silly me! Although some of them are extremely expensive. Like, $95 expensive...

The manfriend has purchased these for me:

Yay!

Still on the hunt for more...
