I wish I knew of some nice heavy, drape-y silks, but nothing comes to mind. Taffeta is too stiff, satin is too shiny. So I'm wondering about linen? That just doesn't somehow seem rich enough for her though. Some dupioni/shantung can be pretty heavy, but... slubs... :-P
But the linen idea is growing on me. Linen kirtle and overdress. I already know of some fabric I could use for the gold border. The embroidery around the neck... I guess I could actually embroider something for once... ;-)
